My grandmother was a remarkable woman and one of my closest friends. She came up with the name Komarin, perfectly capturing her spirit of warmth and acceptance. Her unwavering kindness and genuine love for God embodied the essence of a true Christian. Though she passed away on 25 February 2015, her loving presence continues to inspire me, and I cherish the beautiful life lessons she shared with everyone around her. Here are just 20 of the many valuable life lessons my grandmother imparted on me:

1. Get Rid of All the Negative Things in Your Life

Do a proper “house cleaning” and get rid of all those unnecessary things that you gather. This includes spiritual and emotional baggage. We fill our minds with thoughts that prevent us from moving forward. Habits that limit us. Diversions that take us down the wrong paths. Negative people who drain us. Fear that paralyzes us.
